Stephen R. Matthews, author of "The Day The Nazis Came"
WELCOME!

Thank you so much for popping in to see us and we hope you enjoy the visit.

There are so many delightful things about having hard-won manuscripts converted into published books, in spite of receiving all the rejection slips that fell all around me like confetti, but the real opportunity to be able to meet readers like you just about beats everything.

So why not take a journey with us, through some of our more recent and turbulent past?

A NEW BOOK!

Murder, Witchcraft and the Killing of Wildlife
'Memoirs of a Police Officer in the Heart of Africa'
There is a new hardcover book published in the UK by Pen & Sword Publishing in December 2019, the paperback version will be available from November 2020.

This is the true and gripping story of Stephen's service in the British Police in Northern Rhodesia (Zambia) during the Belgian Congo debacle.

Work-in-Progress

Stephen has completed his latest manuscript 'My Boy Alex - Witchdoctor and Crime Fighter', which is about the life and times of his courageous Doberman, who saved his life on several occasions in Africa.  This was a dog that loved fishing, swimming and listening to classical piano music where his favourite composer was Sergei Rachmaninov.

At the suggestion of his publishers, Stephen is writing his first International Crime Novel, to be called ‘The Red Robes of China.’This will be a rip-roaring, all action packed book, involving Shaolin Monks, global terrorism, murder, and extortion, and is based on his own police experience and worldwide travels.
